Running With My Deer

Running With My Deer

The weather had been so perfect this past week i'm bummed to see hail and rain and cloudiness now (Texas weather is CRAZY!). The weather was SO nice that Giray and I decided to go for a run at Phil Hardberger Park. We parked the car and found a trail that runs alongside a creek and started walking to warm up. I seriously did not realize how beautiful this park was until we walked this particular trail. With Spring in full effect there were so many jasmine vines and flowers that made the walk super fun and super long with all the stopping for photos I wanted to take (haha, sorry Giray!). unnamed-1

During our walk we ran into so many deer feasting on the lush greenery around...yeah, I know San Antonio has deer everywhere, but it was so nice to see them so close and on the trail. It was hard to catch a good picture of them, as soon as they heard someone coming they'd scurry away.

unnamed-4See?! Isn't this trail awesome?! I can't wait to go back! So after what seemed to be a 10 mile/5hr run we went to Whole Foods looking for a healthy snack and drink and OMGOSH did we find the tastiest most refreshing drinks! These juices were just what we needed to cool off and hydrate a bit.
